Since then I have been intrigued by watches ever since, I do have a habit of keeping my watch on when going swimming or in a lake etc.  I loved the gold or silver bracelet watches that had the safety chains on?  I always went swimming with a good watch on, I had seen other women, but there had been occasions were 1 woman forgot to remove hers, which was the same style as mine, as often women would have removed this type of watch when swimming as they were styled as a good dressy watch etc, unless they had been soaked with the watch on & became aware that it was ok in water.  Over the years I broke a few from not checking them, or thinking they would be ok.

I have on occasions jumped into the sea or swimming pool on holidays, in my top or summer clothes with it being too hot, which I just dropped my handbag & jumped in to a deep pool with being too hot, then when I came back up, I then removed my blouse or top, which then I realised I hadn’t removed my watch, I have had times had a good gold dressy watch on, but was ok in water, then sometimes I changed to a different watch & then forgot that it was ok.  I would often have been in water a while before I realised I had a good watch on without it being ok.  There had been times I had a long-sleeved blouse on, which then I wouldn’t be so aware of my watch unless it sloped down or when I removed my blouse or if someone noticed it.

Then gradually I went into the old antique styled windup watch, but I am more careful though, but have gone in to pool forgetting to remove the antique windup watch, but more careful now.

I have only going in a few times with my clothes on, with wearing a watch, which if my top or blouse is removed, or if I have a short-sleeved top-blouse on, then my watch is more visible.  So I am more likely to remember or remove it if it’s a good watch.  I have occasionally jumped into the water & then when I went to pull my hair up, then realised, then on occasions have removed my watch, that’s if been in water for a short while, or if its not waterproof, then think about removing it.

I would wear my gold watch if washing my hair, to which I would roll up the watch up my wrist, but would avoid it getting wet.  I would remove it if having a bath, but if I wasn’t in a safe place, I perhaps would wear it in the shower, or when washing dishes, but not actually heavily submerging the watch deep in water.

I have occasionally jumped in, knowing I had a watch on, but was so interested in jumping in for fun with other people into a lake - pool, I was then in water with a very good watch on, which I shouldn’t have been.  Some other women hadn’t removed there watches 2, some forgot, some kept them on to take a risk, but hoped not to break a watch.  On occasions I just kept it on, after I was in, even though I should have if I wasted not to break it, luckily the watches that I had on were battery, at times it started 2 steam up, but as I was already in with it on, yr steamed up already, I just kept it on, just liked the risk.

There have been times, have jumped in & asked a woman who entered the pool, to put my watch beside my handbag or in my handbag, after when I jumped in, but almost each time i end up in the water I had a watch on.  One time all a group of us jumped in, I was the only woman to have a watch on, which all others had seen my watch, but had forgotten, not noticed, but I got so used 2 wearing a gold watch which was dressy in water which was ok, so when I had on a different watch, I didnt think, the other women had noticed, it wasnt until a woman asked & looked at my watch, that i realised, but as I had it on altready for the time I was in the water, then the women would go on at me, to remove it, but said since being in water with it on, I would keep it on.  It wasnt water proof anyway, but as it seemed ok, but werent sure if it was working or nor, so thought I would keep it on & take the risk, it was a 9-carat gold Zenith windup watch, which shouldnt have been worn in water anyway, but I thought I would keep it on, but I felt bare without a watch on, uncmfortable, but I had collected watches, so I had a good few, so I could then take the risk & not worry just breaking my favourite watch.  So I had a few to solect from, so I hadnt to worry 2 much

I have fallen in a few times, with my watch on into lakes, streams & rivers, swimming pools etc.  A few years back, I had soaked my feet at a swimming pool, were I just dangled my feet in the water with my skirt rolled up, tights & heels off.  I then stood up & went to get my handbag, then my key fell into the pull, I had my handbag in 1 hand, stretched out to avoid getting my £200 gold Seiko dressy watch wet, this time I had my high heels on, but with stretching so much in high heels, I fell straight into the swimming pool.  It took me a while to get back up above the water, which I had a skirt with lining in it, which didn’t help matters, I came back up & didn’t think my handbag went in with me into the water.  I ten came up & realised some of my contents of my handbag had fallen 2 bottom of the pool.  So I had to spend time picking stuff up from my handbags in the swimming pool, still wearing my gold watch.  I then gradually came out of the water wearing heels.  I then realised I had lost my ring, so I had 2 go into minus my heels & handbag, but went in to get my ring & also had on my gold watch, as I had forgotten to remove my gold watch, as it already had been soaked & been ducked in.  I then removed my top, to which my gold watch was then noticeable.  As I came out in my bra a woman came over to see me, then also asked me the time, which I hadn’t even got round to seeing if it was ok, or if it had stopped.

A few times I had been walking around a swimming pool, in heels, in my bikini or on occasions a top, were I have been pushed into the pool, were I had been wearing a gold or a good watch.  Always seem to happen if I have a good watch on, but never really happens if I had a cheap watch on.
